Wahluu Health is working towards opening as a clinical and allied health service in 2025. We will keep community informed of our progress at all stages.
We are excited to announce that we will be launching our Justice Reinvestment Health and Wellbeing Program, 'Wundirra' at the Kelso Community Hub on 21 February 2025.
Wundirra - Standing in Your Own Light.

Wundirra—Standing in Your Own Light—is dedicated to developing strengths-based programs that focus on health and wellbeing to prevent both young and older Aboriginal Australians from coming into contact with the justice system.
There are several justice reinvestment programs in New South Wales (NSW) that focus on reducing interactions with the criminal justice system, particularly for Aboriginal communities. Here are a few notable ones:
Just Reinvest NSW: This initiative supports community-led solutions to reduce Aboriginal over-imprisonment. It operates in several communities, including Bourke, Moree, Mt Druitt, and Kempsey.
NSW Justice Reinvestment Grant Program: This program provides funding to Aboriginal communities to develop and implement justice reinvestment initiatives. The program aims to address the underlying causes of imprisonment and re-offending by supporting community-led change.
Maranguka Justice Reinvestment Project: Located in Bourke, this project focuses on improving outcomes for Aboriginal people by addressing the root causes of crime and supporting community-led solutions.
These programs, like Wundirra, emphasise the importance of culturally appropriate support systems and community engagement to promote positive outcomes and reduce interactions with the justice system. You can find more information on the NSW Communities and Justice website.
